Our festive programme is designed to allow you to enjoy Christmas to the full, this festive break includes two escorted excursions, firstly to Halifax, internationally famous for itsMackintosh chocolate and toffee, and Shibden Hall the main setting in the BBC’s ‘Gentleman Jack’, that follows the story of diarist Anne Lister, who lived in the hall. The second day trip is to historic York, without doubt, one of our favourite tourist cities. There is plenty of time for sightseeing and shopping, but there is so much to take in you will have to be selective. The majestic Minster, the old Roman Walls, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre and the National Railway Museum are all worth considering. Enjoy all the festive Christmas activities and meals without any of the washing up and no additional single supplements on sole-use rooms.
