Turkey and tinsel holidays in Scarborough offer lots of festive fun and fayre with three excursions included to York, Beverley, and Whitby. The Turkey and Tinsel break stays in Royal Hotel, which has wonderful views down onto the sea and the Abbey ruins.

Excursions
Full Day: York
A full day excursion to the historic city of York, without doubt, one of our favourite tourist cities. There is plenty of time for sightseeing and shopping, but there is so much to take in you will have to be selective. The majestic Minster, the old Roman Walls, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre and the National Railway Museum are all worth considering.

Half Day: Beverley
With its towering gothic minster, Beverley Westwood, North Bar (a 15th-century gate), Beverley Racecourse and beautiful Georgian townhouses and pretty market squares, it's a town full of history but still has an attractive present.

Half Day: Whitby
Today we make our way to Whitby,split by the River Esk on the East Cliff, overlooking the North Sea. This is a picturesque fishing town and resort combined, set beneath a ruined Abbey.

Turkey & Tinsel Programme
MONDAY: It’s Christmas Eve – From local departure points relax, get to know your fellow holidaymakers, and enjoy the comfortable coach journey to the venue of your choice. Before dinner you are invited to a welcome reception with your hosts and, after dinner, relax in the bar or lounge and enjoy a drink with your new-found friends.

TUESDAY: It’s Christmas Day – Start this ‘Christmas’ day with a leisurely breakfast then sit back and enjoy a full day excursion before returning for one of the highlights of the week... a full ‘Christmas’ dinner with all the festive trimmings and a visit from Santa! After dinner enjoy a night of festive entertainment.

WEDNESDAY: It’s Boxing Day – After breakfast, board your coach for a full day sightseeing excursion before returning to the hotel. In the evening look forward to a Boxing Day dinner followed by festive entertainment.

THURSDAY: It’s New Year’s Eve – After breakfast, board your coach for a leisurely half day sightseeing excursion before returning to the hotel. In the evening look forward to a special New Year’s Eve dinner followed by entertainment to see in the ‘New Year’!

FRIDAY: Fond Farewells – After breakfast it’s time to make our way home.
This is a sample Turkey and Tinsel itinerary and some programmes will vary and in some instances, meals will be buffet style.
