Turkey and tinsel holidays in Torbay offer lots of festive fun and fayre with three excursions included to The Eden Project, Newton Abbot, and Brixham. The Turkey and Tinsel break stays in the Torbay Hotel, in the heart of Torquay, offering stunning harbour views and just a short walk to the local cafes and shops.

Capture the spirit of the festive season on a Turkey & Tinsel break, bringing the magic of Christmas, the celebrations of New Year and the friendship of like-minded travellers. Itinerary

Excursions
Full Day: The Eden Project
Today we visit the impressive Eden Project, built as a global garden telling the story of man’s developing relationship with plants. The project creates three of the world’s climatic zones - our own temperate climate outside and inside, plus giant 'covered biome' conservatories for the humid and warm regions.

Half Day: Newton Abbot
Newton Abbot, a delightful historic market town, surrounded by beautiful South Devon countryside. Wander through the old Butter Market or just enjoy the outdoor market in the town square.

Half Day: Brixham
A half day excursion to the busy fishing port of Brixham, where life has always been centred around the harbour. Here yachts and trawlers jostle for space with the many day boats heading out to sea for the day’s catch.

Turkey & Tinsel Programme
MONDAY: It’s Christmas Eve – From local departure points relax, get to know your fellow holidaymakers, and enjoy the comfortable coach journey to the venue of your choice. Before dinner you are invited to a welcome reception with your hosts and, after dinner, relax in the bar or lounge and enjoy a drink with your new-found friends.

TUESDAY: It’s Christmas Day – Start this ‘Christmas’ day with a leisurely breakfast then sit back and enjoy a full day excursion before returning for one of the highlights of the week... a full ‘Christmas’ dinner with all the festive trimmings and a visit from Santa! After dinner enjoy a night of festive entertainment.

WEDNESDAY: It’s Boxing Day – After breakfast, board your coach for a full day sightseeing excursion before returning to the hotel. In the evening look forward to a Boxing Day dinner followed by festive entertainment.

THURSDAY: It’s New Year’s Eve – After breakfast, board your coach for a leisurely half day sightseeing excursion before returning to the hotel. In the evening look forward to a special New Year’s Eve dinner followed by entertainment to see in the ‘New Year’!

FRIDAY: Fond Farewells – After breakfast it’s time to make our way home.
This is a sample Turkey and Tinsel itinerary and some programmes will vary and in some instances, meals will be buffet style.
