Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 11.00am for our journey to North Wales and the Beauford Park Hotel, with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Enjoy a warm welcome, tea/coffee and Bara Brith on arrival while your luggage is taken care of.
Tuesday
This morning following breakfast we journey along the North Wales coast to spend the morning in Conwy, famous for its magnificent castle and fantastic coastal views. During our stop here perhaps visit the castle, stroll by the quayside, or perhaps visit 'The Smallest House in Britain'. Continue our journey along the coastline to Beaumaris, a charming coastal village on the shores of the Isle of Anglesey, with free time to stretch your legs before we head to the pier to board our boat for a 75min Puffin Island Cruise, home to an abundance of wildlife including the Puffins with their brightly coloured beaks. The island is home to a colony of grey seals, and you may also be lucky enough to spot dolphins and porpoise. After our cruise we travel back to the hotel through magnificent scenery via Capel Curig and the Gwydir Forest Park, through Pentrefoelas, to Corwen, via Ruthin and Llanferres back to the hotel.
Wednesday
This morning following breakfast we take a scenic drive through Cheshire countryside to Historic Chester. Explore the wonderful remains left by the Romans that are located across the city, take a stroll around the city walls, meaner down to the River Dee, perhaps take a river cruise or have lunch in a riverside pub or shop in the 'Rows' the historic two-tiered shops that are iconic in Chester, today the choice is yours.
Thursday
Following breakfast todays excursion takes us through some lovely Welsh scenery, including the magnificent Horseshoe Pass to the Dee Valley where we join the Rheilfford Llangollen Railway to take a nostalgic steam train journey, followed by a ride on the 'Stream in the Sky' - The Llangollen Canal, gently glide along over the country's biggest navigable viaduct. With free time afterwards to explore lovely Llangollen, the small heritage town with a rich history, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for our journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
