Lytham 1940s Weekend & Blackpool
March into the spirit of the 1940s as Lytham transforms for its annual Home Front revival - a nostalgic day out filled with military vehicles, vintage cars, historic aircraft and lively entertainment. Enjoy period parades, live 1940s music and dancing and even a rousing speech from a 'Winston Churchill' lookalike. Alongside the festivities, we'll have the chance to browse vintage stalls and pick up a period-style keepsake. This special weekend also includes plenty of free time to enjoy the highlights of Blackpool - from its iconic promenade and seaside charm to the famous pier and Tower.

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to Blackpool, a seaside town brimming with charm, heritage and attractions. We have time at leisure for some shopping or sightseeing before checking into our hotel in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, we travel by coach to the charming seaside town of Lytham for its much-loved annual 1940s Wartime Weekend. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lytham Green, with its iconic windmill and coastal views, the town bursts into life with nostalgia. Expect a blend of historical re-enactments, vintage military vehicles and classic cars lining the streets. Live big band music drifts through the air as dancers in period dress take to the floor, while singers perform stirring wartime favourites. Browse bustling vintage stalls, enjoy themed refreshments and catch a rousing 'Churchill' speech that captures the morale of the era.
