Lake Garda
Colourful boats bobbing on blue shimmering waters, dreamy villages, ancient castles, fragrant vineyards and olive groves - that's Lake Garda in a pretty, little nutshell.
Located half way between Brescia and Verona, and Venice and Milan, the largest freshwater lake in Italy was originally formed by glaciers. Situated on the eastern shore is lovely Malcesine, with its striking Scaligero Castle. From here you can catch the boat to many of the lake resorts including Riva and Limone.
The capital of the lake is vibrant Garda Town, situated in a huge sheltered bay with a backdrop of dramatic hills and mountains. Dine under the trees at one of the many delightful lakeside restaurants, or browse the stylish shops.

The layout of theJG Explorerincludes a floor-level, rear-mounted kitchen with a sink, an espresso machine to purchase delicious Nespresso coffee, dispensed by your driver during comfort breaks, and a fridge stocked with cold drinks and milk. Customers are welcome to help themselves to complimentary JG bottles, that can be used for refill at the built-in cold-water filter, cutting down on the need for disposable plastic bottles and doing our part for the environment.Garda Sol Spa Hotel (JG3 rating)

The family-run Garda Sol Spa Hotel (JG3 rating) is located in the heart of Toscolano Maderno on the western shores of Lake Garda. The comfortable en-suite bedrooms feature a flat-screen TV and free toiletries while other hotel facilities include a restaurant, outdoor pool, sun terrace and spa with a Turkish bath and sauna (treatments are available at an extra cost).
