Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 9.00am for our journey to Babbacombe with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Tuesday
Today we have a free day in Babbacombe to relax at the hotel, explore and enjoy the resort.
Wednesday
Full day - Today we head into nearby Torquay to spend the day at leisure in the popular seaside resort, allowing time for lunch and for you to have plenty of time to explore.
Thursday
Full day - This morning we travel to the edge of Dartmoor to visit Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Benedictine Monks, followed by a wonderful nostalgic steam train journey on the South Devon Railway Buckfastleigh/Totnes/Buckfastleigh.
Friday
Long Half Day - Today we travel along the coast to the picturesque, historic harbour town of Brixham, enjoy free time exploring, perhaps visit the Brixham Heritage Museum or the life-size replica of The Golden Hind, or taste the local catch in one of the towns many cafes and restaurants, returning to the hotel mid-afternoon
Saturday
Full Day - Today we travel around the River Exe Estuary, along the coast, to visit Sidmouth, perfectly hidden along the Jurassic Coast, spend the morning here allowing time for lunch, in the afternoon we continue our coastal journey to Seaton where we take a return heritage journey on the Seaton Tramway.
Sunday
Half day - morning visit to Powderham Castle and Cardens on the banks of the River Exe, discover 600 years of fascinating history and heritage behind its walls, return to the hotel mid afternoon to relax before our journey home tomorrow.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route
