Description
Join us as we head to Southern Ireland for our Wonderful Wicklow Tour, and our hotel located between the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea. Our base is the town of Newtownmountkennedy, the village with the longest name in Ireland, and popular tourist destination for the last century. Spend free time exploring Dublin’s historic, fair city, hit the shops in O’Connell Street or if live music and old school pubs are your thing then head to have the craic in the cobbled streets of Temple Bar, Dublin has a wonderful array of museums to enjoy or perhaps take a River Liffey Cruise, the choice is yours. Far away from the maddening crowd travel with us through the Wicklow Mountains to the magical valley of Glendalough to see medieval monastic ruins, visit Avoca, the village where Ballykissangel was filmed but more famous for its handweaving with a visit to The Mill. Journey to discover breathtaking Powerscourt Estate home to one of the World’s most beautiful gardens and an equally impressive house. Before we head back to Dublin Port visit the impressive National Museum of Ireland, Decorative Art and History Museum, housed within the magnificent architecture of Collins Barracks.
