Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Suffolk with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arrive at the Salthouse Harbour Hotel to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your bags are taken care of.
Tuesday - Thursday
Free time in Ipswich with the following excursions, for those who wish to walk in, it's a 10-15mins walk to the centre from the hotel, for those less able the coach will drop you in the centre of Ipswich and pick you up at a designated time.
Morning visit to the ancient royal burial ground of Sutton Hoo, followed by free time to explore the beautiful, vibrant town of Woodbridge, one of the 'gems' in Suffolks crown before we sit back and relax as we take a leisurely cruise on the River Deben.
Morning visit to the Grade 1 listed Helmingham Hall Gardens, in the grounds of the magnificent, moated Hall, surrounded by parkland where red deer roam. Wander a beautifully scented rose garden of unsurpassable beauty, exquisite herbaceous borders, herb and knot gardens, wildflower garden, orchard and wonderful walled kitchen garden. Marvel at vistas through tunnels and from bridges, take a seat and just be in this place of beauty and tranquillity. Followed by free time in the medieval market town of Stowmarket.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
