Join us as we head to Troon for our Awesome Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran Tour. Sitting on the stunning west coast of Scotland you’ll find a land of natural contrasts, featuring magnificent country and coastal views, sandy shores, countryside towns and the wonders of Island life. The highlight of this tour is a visit to the beautiful Isle of Arran or Eilean Arainn in Scottish Gaelic, step aboard the CalMac ferry to Brodick and leave all your cares behind, enjoy breathtaking views as you approach Arran with Goatfell’s jagged outline dominating the skyline, surround yourself with calming waters, nature and beautiful landscapes. Take a tour of Lagg Distillery on the island to discover the journey of the Arran single malt with a wee dram. Back on the mainland in the area that gave us the Scottish National Bard Robert Burns, enjoy a day visiting Alloway, his birthplace and the Robert Burns Cottage and Museum. High on the clifftops visit Culzean Castle and Gardens, take time to uncover stories behind the treasures that fill the castle to the turrets, wander through the walled 18th century gardens at Culzean, one of the most significant gardens in the care of National Trust for Scotland. Don’t miss out on this wonderful tour, make memories that will last a lifetime.
Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey north to Scotland and the South Beach Hotel in Troon, with a suitable lunch stop en-route
Tuesday - Friday
Free time in Troon with the following excursions:
Full day tour - following breakfast we head to Ardrossan to board the ferry across to Brodick on the Isle of Arran, said to be Scotland in miniature, enjoy a tour of the island with a visit to Lochranza Distillery before returning via ferry from Brodick to Ardrossan, continuing our journey to Troon.
Full day - Enjoy a day that celebrates the Scottish bard Robert Burn. Visit Alloway, a leafy suburb of Ayr, the village where Robert Burns was born with entrance to Robert Burns Cottage and Museum. Wander Robert Burns Monument and Memorial Gardens, see The Brig o'Doon, the 15th century hump-backed bridge where Tam is forced to flee for his life and the ruins of the kirk where Robert Burns father William is buried.
Full Day Tour - Visit Culzean Castle and Gardens, the clifftop masterpiece of Robert Adams is filled to the turrets with treasures that hold stories waiting to be uncovered. Spend free time in the harbour town of Girvan with views over Ailsa Craig, lying just offshore. Girvans attractions include Stumpy Tower originally built as a prison, now housing historical exhibits, Girvan's town centre has an array of restaurants cafes and shops to enjoy.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
