Itinerary
The Great Yorkshire Show
Is there anything more classically British than a trip to a good old-fashioned country show? Taking place every summer, The Great Yorkshire Show has been running for over 160 years and is known as one of the very best agricultural events in the country. Expect everything from show jumping and sheep shearing to forestry and flower displays, there's even a goat-milking competition! We round off our wonderful two-day break with a visit to the ever-popular Skipton Market.

The Great Yorkshire Show
From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to the charming town of Skipton, nestled on the edge of the glorious Yorkshire Dales. Take the chance to browse the famous market, crammed with a wonderful array of stalls with something for everyone. Later we travel to our hotel, arriving in time for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

The Great Yorkshire Show
It's time for the highlight of our break! After breakfast, we travel by coach to The Great Yorkshire Show where a full timetable of entertainment awaits, including fascinating talks from agricultural experts, competitions in the main ring area, animal classes, cookery theatre and art shows. Floral fans won't want to miss the horticultural displays and shopaholics will love the browsing the craft stalls. Feeling peckish? Tuck into some delicious fresh produce in the food hall or just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some live music with a lovely, local cider before we depart for home in the late afternoon.

Venue Information
Selected Hotel JG3 | JG4
We'll stay at a well-appointed hotel (JG3 or JG4 rating). All rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant.Hotel RatingHotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.Accommodation in our JG4 category is of an even higher standard, typically offering a wide range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible and the staff provide a service that reflects the detail and quality. You can also expect higher standards of food and beverages.
