Join us as we head to Worcester, the historic base for our Springtime in the Cotswold’s Tour. Travel through picturesque Cotswold villages of honey coloured stone surrounded by beautiful English countryside as it awakens for the Spring. This wonderful tour includes free time to explore wonderful Worcester straight from the hotel’s front door. During our stay sit back, relax, and enjoy a leisurely cruise from Stratford along the River Avon with an afternoon tea at the marvelous Fourteas Tearooms, located in a 500-year-old Town House just a short stroll from the river, enjoy this English delight surrounded music from the likes of Vera Lynn and Glen Miller. Travel to the heart of the Cotswold’s to visit Sudely Castle surrounded by stunning views of the Cotswold Hills, uncover its royal connections spanning hundreds of years, discover the resting place of Queen Katherine Parr, the last and surviving wife of King Henry VIII. Take a step back in time on a steam train journey from Cheltenham on the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway through glorious Cotswold countryside. Itinerary
Monday:
Depart Leyland at 09.30am for our journey to Worcester with free time to explore Worcester before check-in giving you time to find somewhere for lunch and to explore.
Tuesday-Thursday:
Free time in Worcester to explore or enjoy the hotel's leisure facilities with the following excursions:
Visit home of the Bard, William Shakespeare with a River Avon Cruise and Fourteas Afternoon Tea.
Visit to Sudely Castle.
Journey on the Gloucester Worcestershire Steam Railway from Cheltenham to Toddington.
Friday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, for our journey home with a stop at World of Wedgwood, with time to view the V&A Wedgwood Collection, visit the shops and onsite café en-route.
