Italian Riviera with Nice Carnivall & Fete du Citron

We all deserve a little winter sunshire, why not treat yourself and join us as we head to Italy’s sun-soaked section of the Cote d’Azur to experience wonderful Italian hospitality while enjoying the highlight of this tour the delights of two special festivals; enjoy the party atmosphere at Nice Carnival and join in the fun at Menton Lemon Festival, both wonderful spectacles in their own right. During our stay spend free time exploring Alassio our base on the Italian Riviera with a visit to glamorous Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco, playground to the rich and famous. This tour is a wonderful, fun-filled adventure not to be missed.Tuesday
Depart Leyland at 06.00am as we travel to Folkestone with a suitable lunch stop en-route, board the Eurotunnel across to Calais, remaining onboard the coach for the short journey. Continue through France where we make an overnight stop arriving in time for our evening meal.

Wednesday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast to continue our journey through France to the Italian Riviera with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arrive at Hotel Toscana in Alassio our Ligurian home for the next 5-nights, enjoy a warm Italian welcome with drink as your bags are taken to your room with time to freshen up before your evening meal.

Thursday
Following breakfast we travel along the coast to visit glamorous Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco, playground to the rich and famous. Explore the Old Town, filled with stunning gardens, a magnificent cathedral and a palace, if you are lucky enough you may witness the changing of the palace guard. If motor racing is your thing why not visit the famous Grand Prix Circuit. Spend some free time at the Casino Square or 'Golden Square' lined with prestigious shops, world class restaurants and luxury cars.

Friday
After all the excitement you've earned a day of leisure to enjoy the hotels facilities and explore Alassio, wander the soft and fine sands of its long beach or visit the historic city centre.

Saturday
This morning we travel to Nice where there's time to explore the old town and take a stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais, in the afternoon it's time to take your seats, enjoy the magnificent views and party atmosphere of Nice Carnival Parade, watch brightly coloured and decorated floats accompanied by musicians and dancers as they travel around the city centre, on each float costumed models throw flowers to the enthusiastic crowd, a truly unique and memorable spectacle.

Sunday
Travel along the coast to join in the fun at Fete du Citron with a visit to Menton for the Lemon Festival, each year the citizens of Menton try to outdo each other with lemon inspired creations that require more than 145 tonnes of citrus fruit. Visit the giant sculptures in the Bioves Gardens which becomes a wonderful sea of orange and yellow before taking your seats, enjoy the procession of citus fruit decorated floats, marching bands and drum majorettes.

Monday
Our time in Italy has come to an end, following breakfast bid a fond farewell to our Italian hosts as we depart the sun-soaked coast to begin our journey back to the UK before we arrive in France at our overnight hotel we will have a suitable lunch stop along the way. Arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.

Tuesday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast to continue our journey to Calais to board the Eurotunnel back to Folkestone in the UK, remaining on the coach for the short crossing. Continue our journey back home with suitable meal stops along the way.Hotel Toscanna, Alassio
