Itinerary
Monday
Full day tour - following breakfast we take the road north, past Blyth and Ashington, to Amble, Warkworth and Historic Alnwick. Visit the magnificent Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland, the castle dates back to 1309. More recently it has featured in Downton Abbey and several Harry Potter films. Wander magnificent state rooms and wonderful gardens.
Tuesday
Full day tour - Today following breakfast we visit Beamish Living Museum of the North. Discover the story of life in North East England during the 1820's, 1900's, 1940's and 1950's. Board one of the complimentary vintage trams and buses to navigate across the vast site to discover towns and villages of the different eras. This is a great day out for all.
Wednesday
Today following breakfast is a day of leisure for you to explore the quayside and the many attractions, shopping opportunities and wonderful foodie scene that Newcastle has to offer.
Thursday
Full day tour - today following breakfast our excursion to the Northumberland coast to journey in the steps of Pilgrims across to Holy Island or Lindisfarne for a scenic drive of the tiny island, see its castle and priory, before the tide cuts us off we return to the mainland to Bamburgh to visit to the Grace Darling Museum followed by a little free time in Bamburgh and a stop in Seahouses before returning to Newcastle.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route
