Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to Shepperton with a suitable lunch stop en-route
Tuesday
Our excursion today takes us to the picturesque Thameside town of Kingston-upon-Thames with its beautiful riverside setting, here we will have some time at leisure before we head to splendid RHS Wisley enjoy exploring the wonderful gardens, historic home to the RHS, explore the magnificent cathedral like glasshouse and the Laboratory to uncover the history behind Wisley.
Wednesday
Today's excursion journeys through the rolling Surrey countryside to its's county town Guildford, perhaps visit its magnificent cathedral and cobbled High Street, with time to explore the independent shops and allowing time for lunch. This afternoon we continue our journey to Polsden Lacey, where the Queen Mother and the then Prince Albert Duke of York honeymooned, in wedded bliss she remarked that 'this is a nice house……' gladly they didn't know then the turmoil that would lead to him becoming King George VI. The glorious country house offers magnificent views across the Surrey Hills, with a glittering interior designed to impress royalty the world over, it houses art from Dutch Masters, Faberge and more, with wonderful gardens to explore.
Thursday
This morning we have a short drive to take in some of the beautiful Berkshire countryside as we head to Henley-on-Thames to take a leisurely Thames River cruise in the town famous for its annual regatta. We will have a short time to explore the picturesque town before taking our cruise. In the afternoon we head to Royal Windsor where you have time to enjoy lunch, perhaps visit the castle or browse the independent stores and quaint streets.
Friday
Following a leisurely breakfast check out of our hotel for our journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
