Join us as we head to the Emerald Isle for our Cork Coast and the Ring of Kerry Tour. This tour gives you a taste of Ireland’s relaxed way of life and magnificent scenery. Itinerary
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs as we journey to Anglesey to board our afternoon Stena Line ferry from Holyhead to Dublin with a suitable lunch stop en-route, re-join the ferry as we disembark to continue our journey to the Arklow Bay Hotel where we will rest overnight, arriving in time for our evening meal.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to continue our journey across Ireland stop en-route to visit the vibrant city of Cork for shopping and sightseeing amongst the colourful buildings on the banks of the river. Perhaps visit the famous English Market selling Cork's artisan produce and see the spectacular Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral. Continue our journey, arriving at the Kenmare Bay Hotel to a warm Irish welcome with tea/coffee while our luggage is taken care of.
Tuesday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us on a scenic journey via Mizen Head to Bantry for time at leisure, with a visit to Bantry House and Gardens included, where we discover its impressive treasures. On then to the harbour town of Glengariff for a boat trip to Garnish Island where visitors will see the effects of its unique microclimate and possibly its colony of seals. (please note, credit cards are not accepted on Garnish Island).
Wednesday
Today we include a visit to Kenmare's Derreen Gardens, explore the wonderful 19th century woodland gardens with paths that help you wander through rare tropical plants opening on to magnificent sea views. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore our resort and relax and enjoy the beautiful hotel and its facilities.
Thursday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us on a scenic journey around the magnificent Ring of Kerry. Enjoy an unforgettable tour with many beautiful views of the McGillicuddy Reeks Mountains inland, the spectacular coastline and many signs of ancient settlements with wonderful stops and photo opportunities along the way.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast as we make our way back across Ireland to our overnight hotel with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Saturday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, head into Dublin for a few hours of free time to explore, allowing time for lunch, perhaps picking up something delicious to eat for the journey home, before joining the coach again as we head to the port for the afternoon Stena Line ferry back to Holyhead. Re-join the coach as we disembark in Holyhead to continue our journey home.
