Join us as we head to the beautiful Victorian spa town of Harrogate for our Classic Yorkshire Tour. Spend free time in the Harrogatge, one of the UK’s prettiest and most affluent towns, shop until you drop in the vast array of high-end shops, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in the historic surrounds of Harrogate’s Old Swan Hotel, wander exquisite gardens, beautiful parks and tree-lined boulevards. Visit the Yorkshire gem, Harewood House, wander the gilded grand state rooms above stairs and the wonderful rooms below stairs that give a real insight into life in days gone by at Harewood, explore the gardens, the beautiful landscape created by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Includes a relaxing barge trip on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal from the historic market town of Skipton and a visit to the magnificent Minster city of York, the vibrant, historic city with Roman roots and a Viking past, where ancient city walls surround its many attractions. Itinerary
Friday
Depart Leyland at 09.30am as we head to Harrogate, en-route we visit Skipton on market day where we will take a leisurely canal barge trip before continuing to the hotel. Arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while our luggage is taken care of.
Saturday
Today we have a free day in our host town, the historic town of Harrogate.
Sunday
Following a leisurely breakfast we head out to visit Yorkshire's Harewood House and Gardens, this afternoon return back to Harrogate to enjoy a dec=licious afternoon tea at the historic Old Swan Hotel.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before travelling home we journey to York to spend free time in the historic, minster city, allowing time to explore and for you to get some lunch. mid-afternoon re-join the coach as we continue our journey home.
