From a pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to our hotel in time for dinner.

Flying Scotsman on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
After breakfast, we journey to the village of Grosmont for an unforgettable journey behind the legendary Flying Scotsman, one of the world's most iconic steam locomotives, famed for its record-breaking speed and elegant design. Our scenic trip takes us along the charming heritage line of the popular North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the best way to experience the region's beautiful landscapes, winding through picturesque countryside and quaint villages.
We disembark at the 1930s-themed station of Pickering for some free time, featuring a magnificent roof structure, recently re-instated in the same design as the 1847 original. After admiring the station, you may like to visit the town's historic market, held every Monday and packed with local produce, crafts, clothes and more, or browse the independent shops at Market Place. The Beck Isle Museum is a fascinating place to delve into Pickering's heritage, while the ancient castle is well worth a look too, originally built by William the Conqueror. We then re-join the train and make our way back to Grosmont, where we continue our journey home.
