Enjoy a short break to the ever-popular seaside resort of Eastbourne with its sweeping, palm-tree-lined seafront and friendly atmosphere. Also including a trip to charming Hastings, famous for its atmospheric Old Town, and the chance to visit vibrant Brighton, this promises to be a memorable getaway!

One of the highlights of 1066 Country awaits on our included excursion. We head to the coastal town of Hastings, which boasts the remains of the first castle in England to be built by William the Conqueror and a lovely preserved Old Town with half-timbered houses and narrow streets. To learn more about the history of the town (from smuggling to the pivotal role in the Norman Conquest) there are several museums, head to Hastings Contemporary to discover works by leading contemporary artists or simply enjoy some fresh air along the pier and admire the pretty views of the coastline.
Later, we return to the hotel to enjoy an afternoon tea or coffee with a slice of cake.

We head to Brighton on our optional excursion, popular for its iconic tourist attractions such as the historic pier and the Royal Pavilion with its exotic architecture. Enjoy a stroll along the famous promenade or head to the 'Lanes' area, crammed with quirky boutiques before treating yourself in a local café or seafront chippy!
