Included ExcursionsGlamis Castle & Dundee (full day)We travel to the spectacular Glamis Castle, home to the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne. Childhood home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and the birthplace of Princess Margaret, the original 14th-century castle was extensively restored in the 17th and 18th centuries in an elaborate French château style with majestic turrets and towers.This afternoon we spend some time at leisure in the city of Dundee, situated on the Tay estuary. Enjoy a stroll along the rejuvenated waterfront, head to the V&A Dundee, the first design museum in the UK outside London, or discover RRS Discovery, Robert Falcon Scott's Antarctic exploration vessel which was built in Dundee.Royal Yacht Britannia & Edinburgh (full day)We step aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, Queen Elizabeth II's former floating Royal residence, used not only for state visits and official receptions but also for family holidays. Crowned the UK's best attraction by Which? Magazine in 2020, this magnificent vessel is now berthed in Edinburgh. Highlights of the five different decks include the Bridge, the State Apartments, Royal Bedrooms, Crew's Quarters and the Engine Room. Look out for the clocks too, all stopped at 3:01pm - the exact time Queen Elizabeth II stepped off the vessel for the final time in the decommissioning ceremony. Find out more during the fascinating audio-guided tour.We then enjoy time at leisure in Edinburgh, dominated by the iconic castle perched high above Scotland's vibrant capital city. From the picturesque sights of the Old Town, the sprawl of attractions on the Royal Mile and the grandeur of George Street, with its many boutique shops, cafés and restaurants, there's a wealth of things to do.
Optional Excursion
Small Towns of Perthshire (Pitlochry, Aberfeldy & Crieff) - (£14pp) (half day) A delightful tour of Perthshire's highlights awaits on our optional excursion. First we head to Pitlochry, famous for its Scottish hospitality, fascinating clan heritage, historic distilleries and quaint tearooms, all set against a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills and picturesque woodland. We continue to pretty Aberfeldy, where a visit during a tour of the Scottish Highlands inspired Robert Burns to write The Birks of Aberfeldy. Follow in the bard's footsteps with a leisurely stroll, discover Aberfeldy watermill, bookshop and café. Our last stop is the market town of Crieff, a popular destination for foodies and adventure enthusiasts where the fascinating attractions include the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre.

Edinburgh is the truly delightful capital city of Scotland, from the atmospheric cobbled streets of the old town and the Royal Mile to the beautiful Georgian avenues of the new town. Edinburgh is a city of contrasts from shopping on renowned Princes Street to its many historic attractions including the world-famous Edinburgh Castle.
