Description
Suffolk is blessed with great countryside, a wonderful coast, and exciting towns. We will be staying in the lovely market town of Sudbury, home to Thomas Gainsborough, the famous portrait artist.
Our hotel is nestled in breathtaking Suffolk countryside and is a beautifully converted water mill situated on the banks of the picturesque River Stour, ideal for exploring the surrounding area.

During our stay we will visit the pretty coastal town of Aldeburgh on the river Alde which enjoys breathtaking views both seawards and following the river Alde inland towards Orford. Another visit takes us to the unique village of Lavenham, located in the heart of Suffolk and is one of England's best preserved medieval wool towns.
Itinerary
Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Sudbury with a stop en route.

Tuesday: Today, we visit Aldeburgh, its name comes from 'Alde Burgh' meaning "old fort". We also visit Lavenham one of the UK's most beautiful medieval villages located in the heart of Suffolk.

Wednesday: This morning we board the coach to visit Beth Chatto’s Garden. Here we have included a cream tea. From here we continue to Flatford, home to the 18th century mill of Constable’s paintings.

Thursday: This morning we head to Waldringfield for a 2-hour cruise along the river Deben, one of the most beautiful and scenic spots on the East Coast.

Friday: We depart the hotel this morning and make our way to Hugglescote.
