Description
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of the world's most spectacular events.
The Massed Pipes and Drums, Massed Military Bands, Display Teams, Dancers and the haunting lament of the Lone Piper set against the magnificent backcloth of Edinburgh Castle makes this a truly amazing event….said to be the 'greatest show on earth'.
With an included train journey on the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway as well as a visit to the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel, this is a wonderful opportunity to be part of Scotland's military musical extravaganza.
Itinerary
Day 1: We make our way to Scotland this morning, making adequate comfort stops before arriving at the hotel in time for tea/coffee and scones, before time to freshen up before dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Today we travel to the station at Bo’ness for a wonderful journey that follows the shire of the Firth of Forth, before climbing a tree-lined gradient with spectacular views. We continue through the woodlands of Birkhill and cross the impressive Avon viaduct, travelling through open countryside towards Manuel. On returning to Bo’ness, we will make our way to Edinburgh for the evening performance of the Tattoo.

Day 3: Today we visit the Kelpies, the world’s largest equine sculptures, which tower 100 feet over the Forth & Clyde Canal. In the afternoon we take a trip on the unique Falkirk Wheel, an amazing feat of engineering and the world’s first and only rotating boatlift.

Day 4: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel as we head back to Hugglescote, arriving late afternoon.
