Description
This tour takes you to Ireland's popular South West taking in constantly changing colours, magnificent landscapes, rugged mountains, imposing valleys, lush green fields, deep blue lakes and long sandy beaches. Killarney, with its incredibly beautiful surrounding countryside, brims full of history, heritage, activities, and world class hospitality. It is easy to see why this very special place is known as the Jewel of Ireland. The spectacular Ring of Kerry is a photographer's paradise with a million shades of green and panoramic views at every turn. Just when you think you have seen everything, every twist of the road brings something more beautiful. Ireland is a country full of folklore and legend, where the genuine warmth, humour and friendliness of the local people will leave a lasting impression.

Crusader Holidays uses an interchange system, taking place at either Beaconsfield Services (M40), South Mimms Services (M25/A1M) or Thurrock Services (M25).

Here you may have to change to your holiday coach and we are renowned for ensuring that this is smooth and efficient.

The holiday coaches typically depart from Beaconsfield Services at 11.15, Thurrock Services at around 09.30 and South Mimms Services at 10.30. Some customers find it more convenient to join direct at the interchange, please let is know when booking if this is the case.

Your Itinerary
Day 1 - After joining your luxury coach, journey westwards to Wales with ample stops for refreshments before arriving at your overnight hotel, staying at the 3* Beaufort Hotel in Mold. where an evening meal is included. Dinner & room only. Breakfast the next day on the ferry.Day 2 - An early start to Holyhead for the morning crossing to Dublin with breakfast included. Arrive in Ireland around midday and continue through the Irish countryside to your main holiday hotel in Castleisland, arriving late afternoon. DBBDay 3 - 5 - At leisure in Castleisland with two included excursions and a day at leisure in Killarney with return transfers. DBB.
Enjoy an included glass or wine, beer or a soft drink each night with dinner. There is nightly entertainment in the hotel e.g. bingo, quiz night plus traditional Irish music one night in the bar.INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
The Ring of Kerry
The 100 mile circuit of the Iveragh peninsula is on the itinerary of every self-respecting fan of Ireland for a very good reason. The road winds past pristine beaches, medieval ruins, dramatic mountains and loughs (lakes) with ever-changing views of the island-dotted Atlantic. Follow the narrow coastal road to Killorglin, home of the famous Puck Fair with a stop at the Kerry Bog Village, which depicts the tough existence of Irish life in a typical 19th Century peat-cutting settlement (entrance included). Continue through Glenbeigh, Rossbeigh and Kells, with their beautiful golden beaches, to Cahersiveen. Then it's along the shores of Ballinskelligs Bay to Waterville and Caherdaniel. At Sneem, head inland onto the Moll's Gap, a dramatic cutting between the peat bog and the mountains. The winding road passes Ladies View and then into Killarney National Park.Dingle Peninsula
Visit the remote Dingle Peninsula, made famous in the film 'Ryan's Daughter', offering some of the wildest natural scenic beauty in Ireland. Travel over the mountains to Castlemaine, before continuing via Inch to the cosmopolitan fishing village of Dingle. Enjoy a circular tour around the most westerly tip of the peninsula (Europe's westernmost point) with a view of the dramatic Blasket Islands. Back to Gaelic-speaking Dingle before continuing to charming Tralee for a visit to the Kerry County Museum (entrance included).At Leisure in Killarney - Return transfers inluded
Transfer the short distance to the town of Killarney for a day to explore. A visit to Muckross House and Gardens is not to be missed. Alternatively, the most popular way to learn about the town and its lakes is to take an optional jaunting car ride through the wonderful Killarney National Park and along the edge of Loch Leane to Ross Castle. From here, hop aboard the 'Lily of Killarney' for an optional cruise across the lake. Full details from your driver.Day 6 - Following breakfast depart for Dublin and the mid-afternoon sailing back to Holyhead. It is recommended to have a meal on board as it will be a mid-evening arrival at your overnight hotel (3* Beaufort Park in Mold). BBDay 7 - After a leisurely breakfast retrace your steps with ample stops for refreshments. Continue back to your local joining points arriving back mid/late evening.

This modern 3* River Island Hotel is situated on the main street of Castleisland, a small thriving market town just a short distance from Killarney and 'The Ring'. There are many bars and shops just a short stroll away and the hotel has its own bar lounge and restaurant. You can be sure of a warm Irish welcome here! All the comfortable rooms have en-suite facilities, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all floors.
