Itinerary
Ayrshire & Lovely Loch Lomond
From the rugged scenery of Ayrshire's sweeping coastline to the natural vistas of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the east of Scotland is full of breathtaking sights just waiting to be discovered. On this unforgettable four-day break we explore the very best destinations with excursions to Ayr and Troon along the picturesque Ayrshire Coast as well as Luss and Balloch, nestled on the shores of stunning Loch Lomond, and also see the famed Scottish village of Gretna Green.

Ayrshire & Lovely Loch Lomond
We explore the Ayrshire Coast and make our first stop at the popular seaside resort of Ayr. This little beach town boasts a charming seafront with an esplanade and many fine Georgian and Victorian buildings. Our next stop is Troon, which overlooks the Isle of Arran and offers stunning sandy beaches (featured in the popular historical series Outlander!) and a wealth of independent cafés and unique boutiques.

Ayrshire & Lovely Loch Lomond
We have a full day to experience Loch Lomond's stunning scenery, along with visits to the enchanting wee villages of Balloch, known as the gateway to the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, and Luss which boasts prim rows of chocolate-box cottages, striking hills and incredible views stretching out across the waters of the Loch.

Ayrshire & Lovely Loch Lomond
On our way home, we enjoy a stop at the marriage capital of the world, Gretna Green. In this famous village lies the original spot where young eloping couples would marry 'over the anvil' at the Blacksmiths Shop.
