We explore the Ayrshire Coast and make our first stop at the popular seaside resort of Ayr. This little town boasts a charming seafront with an esplanade, long sandy beach and many fine Georgian and Victorian buildings. Our next stop is Troon, which overlooks the Isle of Arran and offers stunning, sandy beaches, which featured in the popular historical series Outlander, and a wealth of charming independent cafés and unique boutiques.

On our way home, we enjoy a stop at the marriage capital of the world, Gretna Green. In this famous village lies the original spot where young eloping couples would marry 'over the anvil' at the Blacksmiths Shop.
