Day 1 After joining your holiday coach head for Sidmouth pausing en route for refreshments. Check in for 4 nights to your centrally located hotel. There are over 60 acres of beautiful gardens with soft sweeping lawns, elegant water features, fragrant English borders and formal gardens, The magnificent Palm House, with its fantastic collection of palms, dates from c.1825 and is about 20 years older than the Palm House at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. The 18-inch gauge Bicton Woodland Railway is a great way to see the park (fare not included - bookable on the day approx. £3.50 pp in 2025) Other attractions include the Countryside Museum, Garden Centre, Restaurant and Gift Shop\n\nThis afternoon take a cruise on Devon's longest river, the River Exe - a must whilst in Devon This six-mile cruise travels the peaceful waters up past Powderham Castle and along to where the river ends on Exmouth's traditional seafront. One of the favourite sights on the water has to be the resident seals, frequently seen enjoying the area for its food and sunbathing hotspots! Stuart Line boats have an outside upper deck with plenty of fresh air and cosy blankets to snuggle under whilst you soak up the scenery. Also there is an indoor heated lower deck with huge panoramic windows ideal for viewing the all the sights as you cruise past. During the trip, your Skipper will give you live, informative and enjoyable commentary and you will be served fresh Devon scones smothered with strawberry jam and local clotted cream with a tea or coffee.\n\nBridport (Market Day) & West Bay\nBridport is a lively and vibrant market town with a rich, rope-making heritage and a tremendous reputation for arts, culture, events and food. The town is a hive of activity with an eclectic mix of independent shops, cafes and restaurants that give the town a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. Wednesday is market day where visitors can find all manner of goods, local food, antiques, bric-a-brac, plants and books. Bridport is a Gateway Town for the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast and just a mile to the south of Bridport is West Bay - a charming fishing village located on one of the most dramatic stretches of the Jurassic Coast. West Bay has become popular in recent years as host to ITV's smash hit Drama Broadchurch.\n\nDay 5 After a leisurely breakfast, drive to interchange with ample time for refreshments\n\nChoice of 2 Seafront hotels! .
