Liverpool City Break with Beatles Taxi Tour

Not just famous for The Beatles and its music heritage, ever popular Liverpool also has the largest collection of museums and galleries in the UK outside of London, and of course the famous Albert Dock.Sunday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Liverpool with a comfort stop en route. Arriving just after lunch, there will be plenty of time to visit the museums of Liverpool, most of them with free entrance, including Museum of Liverpool, Walker Art Gallery and the Maritime Museum. Be sure to make time to visit Liverpool ONE, with over 170 shops, bars and restaurants, right in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Late afternoon, our coach will collect you to check in at the hotel, where dinner is included.

Monday: After breakfast, we are transported back to the Swinging Sixties on an entertaining 3 hour Beatles taxi tour. Touring around Liverpool and its surrounding suburbs in our private taxi, driven by a local expert guide, we learn all about Liverpool’s fab four lads with visits to some of the iconic places that shaped their lives – and songs. Tour highlights include their childhood homes, the place where John Lennon met a 15 year old Paul McCartney for the first time in 1957, the famous Penny Lane street, Strawberry Field and Eleanor Rigby’s grave. This nostalgic tour also includes stops for photos and refreshments (each taxi will have 6 passengers). After we are dropped off by our taxi, there will be further free time in Liverpool, before sadly we have to depart back to Leicestershire.Hotel Indigo
