Llandudno, Bodnant Garden & the Ffestioniog Railway

Llandudno is Wales's largest resort, uniquely situated between the Great and Little Ormes with two wonderful beaches, the award-winning North Shore and the quiet, sand duned West Shore.

Llandudno has kept its Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendour, despite its modern attractions. The town is outstandingly preserved, with all the traditional attractions and is a bustling centre for shopping and entertainment.Friday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Llandudno with a stop en route, arriving at the hotel in the afternoon.

Saturday: Today we visit Porthmadog for a journey on the Ffestiniog Railway to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The railway is the world’s oldest narrow gauge railway with almost 200 years of history, taking you on a 13 1/2 -mile journey from the harbour in Porthmadog to the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. After, we visit Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia.

Sunday: This morning we visit Bodnant Garden, one of the finest gardens in the country. Its idyllic setting above the River Conwy provides breath-taking views of the Snowdonia range. In the afternoon we will visit Llandudno with its Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendour. In the afternoon we return to the hotel via Conwy, dominated by the imposing Conwy Castle, built by Edward I and his architect Master James of St George.

Monday: Today is your free day to explore Llandudno as you choose.

Tuesday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff this morning as we make our way back to Hugglescote, arriving back in the afternoon.Tynedale Hotel
