Description
Killarney must be one of the most popular destinations ever for a Roberts Holiday, outside of the UK. Why is this? Is it the lush green pasture? The lake and mountain scenery? The jaunting cars? The crashing waters of the Wild Atlantic Way? The friendliness of the people? It is all these things and many more rolled into one that make a visit to Killarney a perfect holiday. Perhaps it is the inimitable Irish sense of humour that takes us across the sea to Ireland again and again.
Itinerary
Day 1: We depart the Travel Centre this morning around 7am (time to be confirmed), and make our way to Fishguard Ferry Port, with a stop en route, for a 4-hour crossing over to Rosslare Ferry Port. We then make the half hour journey to our overnight hotel, the Maldron Hotel Wexford, arriving around 19.30hrs.

Day 2: After breakfast, we board our coach and make our way to Killarney stopping at Blarney Castle where entrance is included. The castle was built nearly six hundred years ago by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy and is one of Ireland's greatest treasures. Here, you have the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence, found at the top of the castle tower. Kiss it and you will never again be lost for words! We continue our journey to our main hotel, The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney arriving at around 16.30hrs.

Day 3: After breakfast, we depart the hotel this morning for a guided tour of the Ring of Kerry. Get your cameras ready as we visit some of the most spectacular landscapes Ireland has to offer. We drive from deep forest to the crashing waters of the wild Atlantic through rugged and majestic landscapes; look out for the wild stags and the tumbling waterfalls. This route will take your breath away!

Day 4: After breakfast, today we step back in time to experience Ireland’s most traditional mode of transport, the Jaunting Cars! Our tour aboard the horse drawn carriages takes us where motor traffic is not allowed, through the Killarney National Parklands. Hear the legends, mysteries and tales as we ramble along the lake shore past Ross Castle and Killarney House before we take a cruise of Lough Lein on board the Lily of Killarney. In the afternoon there will be time at leisure to explore Killarney.

Day 5: After breakfast, we meet our guide for a tour to tranquil Glengariff, situated on the world-renowned Bantry Bay which is famed for its natural beauty. This is where the mountains meet the sea, and you will see why the town has been a holiday destination since the 1700s including for WB Yeats who was a regular visitor in the 1920s.

Day 6: After breakfast, we bid a fond farewell to the hotel and make our way to our overnight hotel, the Maldron Hotel Wexford, arriving around 18.00hrs. Why not relax and use the hotel’s leisure facilities?

Day 7: After breakfast, we depart the hotel this morning around 7am, and make our way to Rosslare Ferry Port to make the 4-hour journey back to Pembroke Ferry Port. We take adequate comfort stops before arriving back in Hugglescote early evening around 19.00hrs (dependent on ferry times).
