We travel north along the Angus coastline, past the amazing Dunnottar Castle for a photo opportunity. Perched on a cliff top amidst striking scenery with stunning seascape views, Dunnottar Castle boasts one of the most evocative and romantic settings imaginable and is an intriguing piece of Scotland's rich heritage.

Stonehaven & Brechin
Enjoy some free time to explore and stretch your legs in Stonehaven, with its attractive working harbour. From here we make our way south through Laurencekirk to Brechin, the only 'city' in Angus on account of its medieval cathedral.

Arbroath
We make our way south along the coast to Arbroath, home of the famous 'Smokie' - a whole wood-smoked haddock with the backbone still intact - and you can see them being made at Spinks shop in the town.

Glamis Castle
We take you to Glamis Castle & Gardens with included entry. Situated in the foothills of the Angus Glens, this impressive property was the inspiration for Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' and was a favourite of the late Queens Mother. We return to the hotel in time for a Cream Tea consisting of scones with jam & cream.

Dundee
Enjoy a visit to Dundee, the city of 'jute, jam and journalism.' We include entrance to Captain Scott's RRS Discovery, where you can relive the hardships and triumphs of his remarkable trip to Antarctica. The rest of your day is at leisure - you may wish to shop for souvenirs or perhaps have a tipple of one of the distilleries, the choice is yours.Park Hotel, Montrose
The Park Hotel stands near the centre of Montrose in the county of Angus, just a short walk from the busy high street and the beach. It offers an elegant restaurant, bar and lovely gardens. All bedrooms are en-suite and have a TV and tea & coffee making facilities. This hotel does not have a lift, however, ground floor bedrooms may be available on request.
