Itinerary
Cosford & Ironbridge
The Aerospace Museum at RAF Cosford is an excellent exhibition offering 70 aircraft dating back to wartime, as well as the National Cold War exhibition, giving an insight into life behind the Iron Curtain. We end the day with some free time at Ironbridge Gorge, where the world's first iron bridge, designed by Thomas Telford, forms the centre of this World Heritage Site.
West Midlands Safari
We drive along the delightful Severn Valley to Bewdley where we visit the West Midlands Safari Park and enjoy tea, coffee & cake before a Safari Drive with a knowledgeable park guide. The safari drive is home to some of the world's most beautiful and critically endangered animals; almost all the animals are free-roaming and can literally walk straight past the vehicles! There is something here for all ages, with daily shows, an adventure theme park, walking trails, African Village, dining options and so much more.
BCLM & Worcester
Experience the Black Country Living Museum, an award-winning open-air museum that tells the story of one of the very first industrialised landscapes in Britain. Take a ride on the vintage tram, tuck into traditional fish & chips, or relax with a pint in the Glass and Bottle Inn in the heart of the village. Then it's onto historic Worcester for the afternoon, with its boutique shops, impressive cathedral and the scenic River Severn flowing through the city. Just a stone's throw away from the Cathedral are historic Friar Street and New Street where two of Worcester's oldest and most historic pubs are located.
