Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Donegal Bay Cruise, Sligo, Cruise on Lough Gill, Killybegs

Picture a green land of emerald-coloured hills and rugged coastlines, pretty little villages with colour-washed cottages, and an easy, timeless way of life... welcome to Ireland's wild Atlantic coastline! This magical region stretches from Donegal Bay to the shores of County Sligo, and at its heart lies the small resort of Bundoran. It is famed for its Atlantic rollers, attracting the world's best surfers, as well as wide sandy beaches, and the attractions of a popular summer seaside resort. Our hotel sits on the headland and enjoys stunning views across the bay - the perfect base from which to enjoy this magnificent coastline.

**Please note it is a condition of travel with Grand UK, for all passengers to hold valid travel insurance for the duration of their tour.**
Itinerary
Excursions
SUNDAY: From local joining points we travel to our overnight hotel.

MONDAY: We make our way to Holyhead for our early crossing to Ireland (breakfast voucher included on board). Travelling through the heart of Ireland we make a short visit into Northern Ireland and the pretty town of Enniskillen before continuing onwards to Bundoran for our four night stay.

TUESDAY: A day at leisure.

WEDNESDAY: This morning to Donegal town, renowned for its tweed and knitwear. Here we take a cruise into Donegal Bay to view the seal colony on Seal Island and for an alternative perspective of the Blue Stack Mountains. This afternoon we continue around Donegal Bay to Killybegs, a bustling fishing port with a rich maritime heritage.

THURSDAY: Passing the landmark of Benbulben Mountain we tour the shores of Sligo Bay. Through scenery versed by the famous poet W.B Yeats, we reach the county town of Sligo, on the River Garavogue, before returning by the tranquil shores of Lough Gill. Here we board the Rose of Innisfree water bus for an entertaining cruise that combines stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lively commentary.

FRIDAY: Leaving Bundoran we make a short stop at the Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre where the museum charts the history of this world renowned pottery. We continue to Dublin for our return crossing and onwards to our overnight stop.

SATURDAY: It's time to return home.
