Description
HIGHLIGHTS: International Bomber Command Centre, Skegness, Lincoln Cruise, Burghley House & Gardens, Stamford, Free time in Lincoln
Lincolnshire has a vast aviation heritage and is renowned as the 'Home of the Royal Air Force'. Its vast, flat open countryside made it ideal for the development of airfields and it later became the home of Bomber Command. But there's more, much more, to this fascinating country as you'll find out on this revealing five day tour. Highlights include a visit to majestic Burghley House, a gentle river cruise through the heart of historic Lincoln and, by contrast, a visit to the lively seaside resort of Skegness - plus some lovely scenic touring through the majestic Lincolnshire Wolds.
**Please note it is a condition of travel with Grand UK, for all passengers to hold valid travel insurance for the duration of their tour.**

FULL DAY: To South Lincolnshire today and the splendour of Burghley House and Gardens, home to the famous horse trials and with over 500 years of history. Built to honour Queen Elizabeth I, it remains one of the finest examples of 16th century extravagance. After our visit we spend some time in the charming town of Stamford.
