Itinerary
The Yorkshire Dales & Historic York
Discover the timeless beauty of North Yorkshire on this delightful break, combining the rolling hills of the Dales with the rich heritage of York. Explore some of the most picturesque corners of the Yorkshire Dales, from the charming town of Settle and the awe-inspiring Ribblehead Viaduct to the lively village of Hawes, home of Wensleydale cheese. Admire the cascading triple waterfalls at Aysgarth and enjoy the quaint streets of Leyburn, all set against a backdrop of dramatic moorland and rural tranquillity.
We also visit the magnificent city of York, where history comes alive in its cobbled streets, soaring Minster and medieval Shambles. There's also the option to explore more of Yorkshire's charm with an excursion to bustling Skipton Market and the picture-postcard village of Grassington.

The Yorkshire Dales & Historic York
We spend the day exploring some of the most picturesque corners of the Yorkshire Dales. Our journey begins in the charming market town of Settle, before continuing to the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct - a striking example of Victorian engineering set amid sweeping moorland. In Hawes, the home of Wensleydale cheese, we enjoy time to soak up its lively charm. We then head to Aysgarth to admire its beautiful triple waterfalls and round off our day in the pretty town of Leyburn. Our return route along the A1 takes us through rolling countryside and timeless villages, a fitting end to this scenic day out.

The Yorkshire Dales & Historic York
We head to the historic and picturesque city of York, a place steeped in centuries of heritage and charm. Marvel at the magnificent York Minster, one of the largest and most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe. Lose yourself in the enchanting 'Shambles' - a maze of narrow, cobbled streets lined with crooked timber-framed buildings, some dating back to the 14th century. No visit to York would be complete without stopping by the iconic Bettys Tea Rooms, where you can unwind in elegant surroundings and savour their world-famous afternoon tea, complete with delicate sandwiches, fresh scones and irresistible cakes.

The Yorkshire Dales & Historic York
We tour the stunning Yorkshire Dales, calling first at the market town of Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Dales, with a grand medieval castle as its centrepiece. We have time to browse the award-winning market, which still operates under a charter granted by King John over 800 years ago. We then continue to the charming village of Grassington, with its striking surroundings, bustling square, traditional old stone buildings and quirky shops.
