Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, heading to the South Devon coast to arrive in Paignton mid-afternoon. 3 or 4 nights accommodation with breakfast & dinner.\n\nDay 2 - 3 (or 4) - At leisure in Paignton with two included excursions and a free time in Paignton (half day on 4 day tour / full free day on 5 day tour)\n\nINCLUDED EXCURSIONS\nTotnes (All tours)\nDating back to 907 AD,Totnes is an historic market town surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful countryside. Sitting in the heart of South Devon on the banks of the River Dart, this unique town has an international reputation for its lively and diverse community and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy some time to explore this charming town in the shadow of the impressive Totnes Castle\nBrixham (5 day only)\nContinue on from Totnes back to the coast and delightful Brixham. This resort is primarily a fishing port within Torbay and has a long and rich history. In the lee of Berry Head, famous for its Napoleonic connections, its lighthouse and magnificent limestone cliffs, Brixham remains a popular resort with a rich maritime history and stunningly beautiful harbourside. Head back to the hotel later this afternoon\n\nHouse of Marbles, Dartmoor National Park & Dartmoor Prison Museum (All tours)\nEnjoy the countryside as you head to a unique visitor attraction located not far from the Devon town of Newton Abbott. The House of Marbles has a fascinating collection of marbles from across the ages, an operational glassworks, enchanting marble runs, pottery museum, a treasure trove of nostalgic games & toys, a cafe and shopping emporium. Continue into Dartmoor National Park where heather clad moorland, wide open landscapes, rushing rivers and obscure stone tors shape the landscape. Picture postcard Dartmoor villages with thatched cottages and rambling lanes appearing around every corner, this is a land of folklore, myths and legends where ponies wander at will and sheep graze beside the road. Stop in Princetown, the highest village on Dartmoor, set in an expanse of high open moorland for a visit to Dartmoor Prison Museum to learn about 'life inside' one of the world's most famous and notorious jails. 200 years of the prison's turbulent history are portrayed ranging from when Dartmoor was a Prisoner of War Depot for French and American prisoners of war through to today.\n\nReturn Day - Breakfast, check out and head for home with lots of happy memories. There will be a refreshment stop before reaching interchange.
