Itinerary
Fort William
On day one we journey north to Fort William for a two-night stay at the Ben Nevis Hotel. Fort William's setting is dramatic, on the shores of Loch Linnhe and under the mighty bulk of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Attractions within the town include the West Highland Museum, which houses a large collection of Jacobite memorabilia.

Mallaig
On day three we journey west to Mallaig, a spectacular scenic drive passing hidden lochs and inlets, silver sands and the magnificent Glenfinnan viaduct. Mallaig is a major fishing port, and you will have some time to explore the harbour before we catch our midday ferry to the Isle of Skye.

Isle of Skye
Upon arrival on Skye, we take you to visit Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museums of the Isles. Former home of the Clan Donald, this attraction offers a fascinating insight into the history of the island, plus spectacular gardens set around the romantic ruins of Armadale Castle. From here we continue to the Dunollie Hotel for our two-night stay.

Portree
On day four you can enjoy a few hours at leisure in Portree, the largest town on, and the capital of the Isle of Skye. Set round its natural harbour and fringed by high ground and cliffs, the town offers excellent shopping opportunities and a thriving cultural scene.

Dunvegan Castle
We travel via the Cuillin Hills to Dunvegan Castle, the historic seat of the Clan MacLeod and the oldest continually occupied castle in Scotland. Originally designed as a fortress to keep people out, today you can discover an award-winning Castle and Highland estate steeped in history and clan legend, delight in the beauty of its formal gardens, browse the gift shops or satisfy your appetite at the MacLeod Tables Café.

Skye Museum
On day five we include a visit to the award-winning Skye Museum of Island Life, which consists of seven traditional thatched cottages, offering a unique experience and a true insight into island life 100 years ago. Close by, we are also able to observe the Grave of Flora MacDonald, a heroine of the Jacobite movement. Afterwards we travel to the ferry terminal at Uig, for the afternoon sailing to Tarbert on the Isle of Harris. We then drive through the picture-postcard landscape to Stornoway, arriving at the Cabarfeidh Hotel for a two-night stay.

Standing Stones
On day six we visit the spiritual Calanais Standing Stones, predating Stonehenge as they are said to be over 5000 years old! With multiple circles erected in 1km, this area was a key location for rituals of the Neolithic people. You will have chance to explore the Visitor's Centre and learn about the significance of the circles before seeing them in person.

Carloway Mill
We take you to visit Carloway Mill, the oldest Harris Tweed Mill in the world. During an included tour you will witness how skilled craftsmen continue to work the very same machinery their forefathers used, dating back to 1892. We then journey around the island to our hotel at Stornoway for our overnight stay.

Dunrobin Castle
An early start on day seven as we catch an early morning ferry to Ullapool with breakfast on-board. We disembark to journey through the highlands to the stunning Dunrobin Castle and Gardens. Created in the style of a French Chateau, with fairy-tale spires and extravagant turrets, Dunrobin is one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses, dating back to the early 1300s. The great walled gardens are also worth exploring, dramatically set between castle and sea. From here we continue to Ben Wyvis Hotel for our final overnight stop, and on day eight we head for home.
