This grand day out takes us first to Blair Castle, the ancient seat of the Dukes of Atholl and home to Europe's last remaining private army! Take a journey through time, from Mary Queen of Scots, the Civil War and Jacobite Cause to Queen Victoria and the creation of the Atholl Highlanders! En-route back to the hotel, we call at the Blair Atholl Distillery, one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland, for a leisurely tour and dram.

Dunkeld
Enjoy a half-day excursion to Dunkeld, beautifully situated on the banks of River Tay. The town offers a rich cultural heritage, wide variety of specialist shops, and beautiful, brightly coloured 'little houses', built in the early 1700s and now cared for by National Trust for Scotland. Don't miss the Cathedral which features the tomb of the notorious 'Wolf of Badenoch.'

Enchanted Forest
We return to our hotel for an early dinner, and then it's on to earby Faskally Wood for the magical Enchanted Forest Experience. Using the forest as a natural backdrop, you will experience a lighting show that is, quite simply, out of this world!
