A fun weekend based in pretty Vianden visiting two very popular festive markets. Every year during Advent, the main Market Square in front of Trier Cathedral is transformed into a dazzling paradise of lights and colours. Absorb the festive sounds and seductive fragrances of Trier as well as Luxembourg City, which hosts a wonderful Christmas market on the Place d'Armes.

Crusader Holidays uses an interchange system, taking place at either Beaconsfield Services (M40), South Mimms Services (M25/A1M) or Thurrock Services (M25).

Here you may have to change to your holiday coach and we are renowned for ensuring that this is smooth and efficient.

The holiday coaches typically depart from Beaconsfield Services at 11.15, Thurrock Services at around 09.30 and South Mimms Services at 10.30. Some customers find it more convenient to join direct at the interchange, please let is know when booking if this is the case.

Your Itinerary
Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head down to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue via the auto-routes of France and Belgium to your resort hotel in Vianden, Luxembourg. 3 nights DBB, with fixedset dinner menu. A Beer, wine or soft drink included tonight.

Day 2 - 3 - At leisure in Vianden with TWO INCLUDED excursions

Trier Christmas Market
Visit Trier, Germany's oldest city dating back to Roman times. Amid the medieval surroundings of the Hauptmarkt square and in front of the mighty cathedral, 95 festively decorated wooden huts create an enchanting Christmas atmosphere in Germany's oldest town, renowned for its UNESCO status and its 2000 year old Roman Porta Nigra gate. At the Trier Christmas Market you will find a great variety of Christmas articles, ranging from Christmas decorations, wooden toys, candles, hand-blown or engraved glassware up to gift articles and ceramics.

Luxembourg City & Markets
A full day excursion to Luxembourg City. Set on the River Alzette, the history of Luxembourg City dates from AD 963 when Count Siegfried built a castle overlooking the river. Luxembourg's multicultural Christmas Markets boast a more relaxed and European flavour, for example Stollen from Saxony and French Christmas log are on sale side by side!

Day 4 - After breakfast, travel back through Belgium and France to Calais for your return to England.3 Star Hotel .

Hotel Belle-Vue, Vianden
The modern 3* Hotel Belle-Vue is well located in the medieval Vianden, within a short walk of the centre.

It has excellent environmental credentials and is heated by solar energy. Guest rooms are stylishly furnished and offer shower or bath tub, hairdryer, TV, mini safe and WiFi.

There is a restaurant and a cosy, atmospheric bar as well as a large indoor pool and a summer terrace.
