Itinerary
Arrival Day: After joining the coach via one of our departure points or our executive Door2Door service, you will be introduced to your professional driver and whisked away in comfort to pretty Paignton. We aim to arrive for between 3-4pm so that you can relax before your evening meal and settle down for your first night.
Full Day Excursion: After breakfast we visit two picturesque coastal fishing villages. Appledore. Sit on one of the benches on the Quay side and enjoy watching all the various craft come and go. There is everything from fishing boats small and large to beautiful yachts. You may even see the navy hovercraft or the tall ship Kathleen & May coming out of Bideford. While sitting and watching all the activity why not buy some superb fish and chips and finish it off with an ice-cream from the Hockings ice-cream van. This glorious ice-cream is actually made in Appledore and you will find it on sale all over North Devon. This afternoon we visit the market town of Barnstaple which has a lively and historic Pannier market – open 6 days a week.
Free Day in Resort: Free time to explore and enjoy your holiday resort of Bideford.
Full Day Excursion: Today we head to the Exmoor National Park stopping at the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth. Lynton is a bright airy Victorian village located on the headland overlooking the Ocean while Lynmouth is a pretty harbour that nestles quietly beneath the cliffs. A unique water operated cliff railway dating back to 1890 joins the village of Lynton to its sister village of Lynmouth, 500ft below. The railway is a listed monument and is one of the area’s most popular tourist attractions.
The good news is we’ve booked you a return ticket on the Cliff Railway so you can visit both pretty places and enjoy a fabulous view in-between!
Departure Day: Make the most of the wonderful food that is on offer for breakfast this morning. After a fabulous holiday, it's time to bid farewell to your hosts and Bideford.
