Blackpool

Blackpool has been a firm favourite with holiday makers for generations and is still Europe's most popular seaside resort. The resort boasts one of the longest holiday seasons in Britain with the famous six miles of Illuminations switching on in September and shining through to November 7th 2010.

The attractions offered in Blackpool for 2010 include the Blackpool Tower, circus and ballroom, the Louis Tussauds waxworks, three piers (two still with theatres), the Pleasure Beach funpark and shows, the majestic Grand Theatre, the Opera House, the Sealife Centre, Blackpool's world class Zoo, Stanley Park and boating lake, a new indoor Shopping centre & Central Promenade and also not forgetting the miles of sandy beaches, all of European Blue flag status.
