Description

When night falls, Blackpool lights up with its famous illuminations which have been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879. Join us for this long weekend and also enjoy the scenic sights of the surrounding area.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for lunch and refreshments en route to our weekend hotel.

DAY 2 Blackpool & The Blackpool Illuminations: This morning we journey to Blackpool, where you will have a full day at leisure to enjoy some of Blackpool’s attractions. After rejoining your coach and once the illuminations have been switched on, we begin our tour along the main promenade where you will experience the full glory of Blackpool’s world famous illuminations.

Please Note: Our return to our hotel will be late evening, therefore there is no evening meal included today.

DAY 3 Medieval Chester: After a leisurely breakfast we make our way to the medieval walled city of Chester. You will have the opportunity to take an optional* city tour during your visit. After this you will have the remaining time free at leisure to explore “The Rows” which is believed to be the world’s first shopping mall, or even walk the Roman wall which encircles the city.

LAST DAY Travel home via Stratford upon Avon: This morning we depart for Stratford-upon-Avon where you will have time for sightseeing and lunch.We then leave for home, arriving during the evening.

De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel, Warrington

At this 4* hotel facilities include a bar, restaurant, lift to all floors, and a leisure club with indoor heated swimming pool, steam room and gym (all free to use). All 189 en suite bedrooms have satellite TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Porterage, welcome drink and tea/coffee after dinner are all included.
