This special weekend break is simply packed with wonderful attractions. The highlight is a visit to Sandringham House, the much-loved country retreat of HM The Queen. Also included is a trip on the Bure Valley Steam Railway and a Norfolk Broads Cruiser touring Norfolk’s famous waterworld.

Day 1 - Travel to Long Melford with its mile long high street, and onto the lovely medieval village of Lavenham. Check into your Swaffham hotel for your 3-night stay. Dinner, bed & breakfast
Day 2 - 3 – At leisure with two included excursions.

Sandringham House & Norfolk Coast
A drive via the north Norfolk Coast with a stop along the way in Cromer. Highlight this afternoon is Sandringham House and the chance to explore the beloved country retreat of Her Majesty the Queen.
Rail & Sail on the Norfolk Broads
Take the narrow gauge, steam train ride from Aylsham to Wroxham with beautiful scenery along the River Bure. Then a scenic boat tour from Wroxham for on the Norfolk Broads.
Day 4 – Head home via the Suffolk Coast with a stop in Southwold. Please note due to time restrictions we will not be stopping in Aldburgh. Reaching interchange in the afternoon for your onward journey home.

Best Western George Hotel, Swaffham
Originally a 16th Century coaching inn, this 3 star hotel has plenty of charm and character inside and out. Located in the Swaffham town centre, it has been charmingly restored with a Georgian facade and a modern bedroom wing. Comfortable, cosy bedrooms offer TV, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities. There is a bar plus restaurant serving seasonal produce. There is no lift but there are some ground floor rooms (4 steps up and these rooms have shower over bath).
