Shanklin is probably the island’s best known resort and combines the traditions of the ‘Old Village’ with the modern seaside resort.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Head to Portsmouth with a refreshment stop en-route to join the ferry to the Isle of Wight and then continue to your resort hotel. Dinner, bed & breakfast throughout.
Day 2 - 3 (Easter) At leisure in Shanklin with one included excursion.
Day 2 – 4 (or 6) At leisure in Shanklin with two included excursions.
Shanklin is located at the southernmost tip of Sandown Bay, sheltered by Dunnose Point, which offers a stunning backdrop, of the tall cliffs of Luccombe and St. Boniface Downs beyond. The Old Village of Shanklin is extremely pretty, with plenty of quaint shops and old-fashioned tea rooms.
Included Excursions
Coastal Tour – Ventnor, Freshwater Bay, The Needles & Alum Bay
Enjoy the highlights around the coastline starting at Ventnor, the Victorian seaside town on the southern side of the island in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Continue to Freshwater Bay with its huge chalk stacks to the Needles and the multi-coloured sands of Alum Bay.
Cowes & Godshill (5 & 7 days only)
Travel to maritime Cowes, the yachting centre of England, split into two by the mouth of the River Medina. On the return journey visit the picturesque old village of Godshill with its delightful thatched cottages, gift shops, tea rooms, ice cream parlours, two pubs and a church up on the hill.
Optional Excursion
Osborne House, (7 day only)
Built in the style of an Italian Villa, Osborne House was the much-loved home of Queen Victoria and her family until she died here in 1901.
Return Day - After breakfast, join the mid-morning ferry back to the mainland and onwards to interchange.
