Spain - Roses & the Treasures of the Costa Brava

Discover the beauty of Spain’s Costa Brava on this relaxing holiday to Roses, enjoying scenic boat trips, charming coastal towns and historic villages. Explore Cadaqués, cruise along the Canal du Midi, discover Barcelona and visit the beautiful Medes Islands, with plenty of free time to relax and enjoy the resort of Roses.Sunday: Following an early start we travel to Dover where we board the ferry for the short sea crossing to Calais. On arrival we rejoin our coach and travel through Northern France towards Reims and The Champagne region and on passing Troyes and onto Dijon. Here we spend our first night at the Hotel Kyriad, Dijon Est Mirande.

Monday: Today we continue southwards through France passing Macon, Lyon, Valence, on this part of the journey we are following close to the River Rhone. As we continue towards Orange and on passing Nimes, Montpellier, Beziers, Narbonne and Perpignan, soon we are in Spain and onto the lovely resort of Roses, where we spend seven nights at The Prestige Victoria Hotel Elite.

Tuesday: This morning we have a boat trip around the coastline to the pretty town of Cadaques, with its lovely harbour and whitewashed buildings. On arrival we have a guided walk here, in the afternoon we re-join the boat and return to Roses.

Wednesday: Today we have a guided excursion to Beziers, France for a boat trip on the canal Du Midi, where we can relax and enjoy the views. Lunch is included during the cruise. Late afternoon we arrive back in Beziers and return to Roses.

Thursday: A free day to relax in Roses.

Friday: Today we have a guided excursion and cruise around the Medes Islands. In the afternoon we visit the medieval villages of Pals and Peratallada.

Saturday: Today we have a guided excursion to Barcelona and an included boat trip from Barcelona Harbour. We have time in the afternoon to explore the city before returning to Roses.

Sunday: We have a day at leisure to relax and enjoy Roses.

Monday: This morning we leave our hotel and the resort of Roses, retracing the outward journey into France towards Dijon. Here we spend our last night at the Kyriad Hotel Dijon Est Mirande.

Tuesday: Today we travel toward Troyes and on passing Reims as we make our way towards Calais. Here we board the ferry for the return sea crossing to Dover. On arrival we re-join our coach and continue towards home, arriving during the evening.
