Day 1 - Once on board your weekend coach, relax and enjoy the scenery up to Chester. Arrival mid - late afternoon with courtesy stops on the way. Check in for 3 nights at The Queen at Chester Hotel DBB\n\nDays 2 - 3 At leisure in Chester with two included excursions.\n\nIncluded Excursions\nIron Bridge Cruise & Chester Guided Walking Tour\nAs you cruise south of the city passing some spectacular homes and gardens, enjoy marvellous views of the leafy Cheshire countryside gliding along the River Dee and winding through the Duke of Westminster's Eaton Estate and up to Aldford Iron Bridge. This is a tranquil stretch of the Dee, with many opportunities to spot wildlife including herons, cormorants, and - if you're lucky - a kingfisher or two. There will be a sightseeing commentary playing as you pass places of interest along the riverbanks. A fully stocked bar is available onboard.\n\nFactual, fun and entertaining, discover the ancient Roman history of the city of Chester, once the largest Roman fortress in Britain, during this walking tour. Follow your legionary guide who is dressed as a Roman soldier who will take you behind the scenes at key sites to explore the drama of life in the Roman Army - all based on the latest, archaeology excavations and research by military experts. See the remains of the biggest Roman fort (Deva Victrix), the largest amphitheatre in Britain, the city walls, and the Roman gardens.\n\nSail Along the Stream in the Sky - Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Llangollen\nBoard the 'Little Star' at Trevor Basin offers to cruise across The Stream in the Sky. The 45-minute round trip across the awe-inspiring Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, towering 126 feet high, allows spectacular views across the Dee Valley, making it an exciting and unforgettable 'bucket-list' experience. The crew provides an onboard commentary - a great way to learn about the fascinating history of the site whilst taking in the magnificent views. There will be some freetime in pretty Llangollen to enjoy its wealth of independent shops or take a stroll along Victoria Promenade or maybe just watch the river tumble down beneath the bridge\n\nDay 4 - Enjoy breakfast, check out and rejoin the coach for the journey homeward.
