Be sure to pop into the handsome 15th Century Minster to enjoy the beautiful interiors complete with painted wooden ceiling panels. Star of the show must surely be the magnificent Piece Hall. A unique Grade I listed Georgian masterpiece, it is the oldest remaining cloth hall in Britain. Following a multi-million pound transformation project, it is now a world class cultural and leisure destination with its grand open-air courtyard surrounded by a mix of independent galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants. Delve deeper into its captivating past with a local heritage guide who will lead you through the grand colonnades and regale you with tales of its fascinating 250-year history.\n\nThen head off to Keighley, a pretty town, nestled between the charming countryside of Airedale and the Haworth Moorland. The town is the terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and you will enjoy a nostalgic trip about this lovingly restored heritage line. The railway line is most famous for its role in the 1970 film version of The Railway Children. (NB may operate by diesel or steam) Disembark in lovely Haworth, a picturesque village surrounded by dramatic moorland and a haven for independent businesses, art galleries, boutiques and then an array of places to eat and drink. Spend your time browsing up and down the cobbled Main Street and fans of the Brontë sisters may want to visit the Brontë Parsonage, home to the Brontë family from 1820 and now a beautifully preserved museum (entrance not included - approx. £13 in 2025 - pre-booking may be required. Closes at 5pm).\n\nHarrogate Autumn Flower Show at Newby Hall & Gardens\nIt's all aboard to Newby Hall, a beautiful Georgian country house set in spectacular gardens. Newby Hall is a jewel in the crown of North Yorkshire and one of the country's finest 18th Century stately homes with award-winning gardens, complete with some of Europe's biggest herbaceous flower borders and 15 stunning garden 'rooms'. Newby Hall throws open its doors at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show to those who dedicate their time to showcasing their passion for gardening. Whether you are looking for oceans of drop-dead gorgeous dahlias or a cornucopia of colourful carnations, you won't find a bigger or better display of autumn blooms anywhere in the UK. Entrance to the show includes also includes entry to the beautiful gardens of Newby Hall. Most paths through the gardens are shallow pea gravel\n\nDay 4 - After breakfast depart for your journey home. A convenient stop en route for refreshments arriving back at your local joining points early to mid-evening.

This 4* hotel offers an excellent base to navigate Yorkshire. It's just off the M62 halfway between Leeds and Manchester; this much-loved hotel is a perfect base. The hotel benefits from stylish new bedrooms, a refurbished lobby area and a relaxed restaurant. There is also a brand new sports bar & games room, The Dugout, in the hotel basement. The hotel has 113 smart bedrooms with ensuite facilities plus tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, hairdryer and a flat screen TV. There is a lift but some internal steps as well.
