Early Spring Getaway
Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head to the North Yorkshire coast with refreshment stops en-route to your hotel in Whitby. 3 nights DBB\n\nDay 2 - 3 At leisure in Whitby with two included excursions. \n\nThe much-loved fishing town of Whitby is dominated by its cliff-top Abbey, its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque houses standing on the steep slopes of the River Esk. The narrow streets and alleys winding down to the quays of this seafaring town still bustle as they have done for centuries. For the energetic, climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey and explore the beautiful ruins which tower over the town. Well known as the home port of the legendary seafarer Captain Cook, it also draws Dracula fans with its many connections to Bram Stoker. Don't forget to sample the world-beating fish and chips, fresh from the harbour\n\nINCLUDED EXCURSIONS\nBeverley\nHead through the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds to East Riding's most attractive town, Beverley, a bustling market town which is full of Georgian character, charming streets and courtyards. Beverley's famous market dates back centuries and is a vital part of community life. It is held in the town centre on Saturdays and offers a friendly atmosphere and a vibrant mix of stalls, selling food from around the world, fruit, vegetables, freshly baked goods, arts and crafts and clothing. The landmark Gothic Beverley Minster complete with 13th century stone carvings and stained glass, dominates the skyline. Its impressive proportions and historic significance are best appreciated from inside. Building work began here in 1220 and wasn't completed until 1425 so three distinct architectural styles can be seen in the intricate detailing.\n\nScarborough & North York Moors National Park\nDiscover the charms of Scarborough, the popular seaside town on the stunning Yorkshire Coast. Blow the cobwebs away on the award winning sandy beaches, from North Bay to South Bay and explore Scarborough's fascinating history through its historic landmarks, from ancient fortresses to grand architectural gems that reveal the town's rich past.
