Sunday
From local departure points we cross the border for a late arrival at the Tinto Hotel.
Monday
A day at leisure in Symington.
Tuesday
A full day excursion to Edinburgh including a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia (admission included). This afternoon enjoy time in Edinburgh itself and explore the Royal Mile, Princes Street and the Old Town.
Wednesday
A full day circular tour of beautiful Border Country visiting Melrose, where the heart of Robert the Bruce is buried in the grounds of the Abbey, Jedburgh, which is rich in the history of Mary Queen of Scots, and the former woollen town of Hawick.
Thursday
Today we drive north to the Bonnie shores of Loch Lomond, including Luss - reputedly the prettiest village in Scotland - before we take a scenic tour through the unspoilt Trossachs National Park.
Friday
A morning excursion to Gretna Green, Scotland’s famous marriage centre for runaways, before visiting the pretty former spa town of Moffat.
Saturday
A day at leisure (8 day holidays only)
Sunday
An early breakfast before we make our way homeward.

Tinto Hotel - Symington
LOCATED AT THE foot of Tinto Hill in the Scottish borders this lovely hotel was built in 1914 and is set in five acres of mature garden, close to the pretty village of Symington.
