Description
Located on the east coast of Norfolk, one of the driest, sunniest counties in England, Great Yarmouth is Norfolk's premier beach resort.
The town centre and marketplace are just a short stroll from the seafront. There are all sorts of interesting independent shops, as well as the shopping mall, the unique Rows and a heritage quarter that makes the town a fascinating place to visit at any time of the year.
Itinerary
Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Great Yarmouth with a stop en route. We aim to arrive at the hotel late afternoon.
Tuesday: Today we depart the hotel for a ride on the North Norfolk Railway, also known as the Poppy Line, a heritage steam railway in Norfolk. We finish in Sheringham, where there will be some free time to explore at leisure. This traditional seaside town grew up around its old fishing village and a few little boats still bring in the daily catch.
Wednesday: This morning we head for Wroxham, where we board the boat to cruise the Broads on the award-winning Broads Tours of Wroxham. This 1 ½ hour boat trip has entertaining live commentary and is well equipped for comfort and enjoyment. After, there will be some free time in Wroxham – the capital of the Norfolk Broads.
Thursday: Today is your free day to explore Great Yarmouth as you choose. Why not walk along the Golden Mile on the seafront where you will find everything expected from a bustling UK holiday resort.
Friday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff as we head back this morning to Hugglescote, arriving back late afternoon.
