Kelpies, Lochs & Glens

Join us on this 5 day tour to Scotland, based at the wonderful Winnock Hotel, near Loch Lomond, a firm favourite hotel with our customers. Enjoy some of Scotland's finest scenery and attractions including a Loch Katrine Cruise, the Aberfoyle Woollen Centre, Edinburgh and The Kelpies.Friday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way north, making adequate comfort stops en route, before arriving at the hotel late afternoon.

Saturday: This morning we make our way to Balmaha for a cruise across Loch Lomond to Luss. We continue over the Rest and be Thankful Pass to Inverurie. From here we continue to Inveraray, bult by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, chief of the powerful Clan Campbell.

Sunday: Today, we visit Aberfoyle Woollen Centre where we enjoy the Sheepdog show. After, we continue with a drive over the Trossachs national park to Loch Katrine for a relaxing 2 hour cruise whilst enjoying afternoon tea.

Monday: This morning we make our way to Edinburgh to meet our guide for a coach tour of this beautiful capital city. After, there will be free time to explore at leisure. Later, we depart for the Kelpies, the world’s largest equine sculptures and a true masterpiece of engineering, designed by Andy Scott. The story of the Kelpies is brought to life on our walking tour which allows us to see a Kelpie from the inside.

Tuesday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff this morning, making our way back down south, arriving back at the Travel Centre late afternoon.The Winnock Hotel
Formerly a coaching inn, this hotel has been lovingly restored and tastefully extended to its present-day form. The hotel is located on the village green in pretty Drymen, offering cosy lounges; many with open log fires, a characterful restaurant and public lounge bar.
All bedrooms are en suite with tea/coffee making facilities and telephone. The hotel does not have a lift, but ground floor rooms are available with some accessed externally.
